Comment Post #285741 They are still missing for me on Apple iOS 15.3.1 and it doesn't seem to matter what browser I use (tested Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on mobile).

Question Footnote numbers not displayed on mobile
UPDATE: It isn’t just footnotes. It affects bulleted lists also. Footnotes work fine in my desktop browsers.[^1] But on mobile, I see this: Missing footnote numbers The footnote numbers are not displayed (the ones within the body are, but not the numbers in the footnotes themselves). O...

Question Strikethrough markdown not working
Strikethrough text doesn't appear to work using Markdown notation: This is supposed to have strikethrough text And it works in the preview, but not in the actual post. Now using the `` html tag: This is supposed to have strikethrough text

Comment Post #278946 Consider expanding this broader to Information Security, which includes these areas but has additional areas. How we, if more interested in the legal and regulatory aspects, perhaps consider a Law site since this is just one area of law.

Answer A: Possible Markdown rendering issue
I seem to be able to consistently reproduce the issue. Steps taken: Type (don’t copy a paste) a single sentence into an answer. End the sentence with punctuation (I’ve so far duplicated with a period and a question mark). Select the last few words of the sentence including punctuation. ...

Answer A: Possible Markdown rendering issue
Test cases (all look fine in the preview): Link text edited to include period. Link text contains no punctuation. Other punctuation too? What about comma, or exclamation point! -- Copying text from the other answer to see if who posts it makes a difference (I sure hope not): Th...

Question Possible Markdown rendering issue
I identified a possible Markdown rendering error. In this post, I hyperlinked the last few words. This renders correctly in the preview but not in the actual post. I’ve tested in a few browsers with same results. For example, this is supposed to be a link.

Answer A: Site for office suites
I think the best place for questions about Office Suites would be under a Power User site (with a bit broader scope) such as in this proposal.

Comment Post #278884 That’s why I think a Christianity site with a different approach will work better based on my experience with the users such sites attract. With that said, I still participate on BH.SE and this is not a drop-in replacement by any means. These would be distinct communities with their own emphases. But...

Comment Post #278884 BTW for reference on this idea/approach, see https://hermeneutics.meta.stackexchange.com/a/886/ only this site would allow any combination of those modes. The reality is that hermeneutics are inherently theological, which is something BH.SE tries to bracket (rather unsuccessfully in my opinion—and th...

Comment Post #278884 Great questions, curiousdannii (and hello!). The proposal I’ve made, which isn’t currently shown, is to have some set of required tags to indicate the “domain(s)” of each question (which, for textual questions, would indicate which “modes of discourse” the OP is seeking to hear from, including theolo...

Comment Post #278764 Well said, @Mithrandir24601. I am also “hesitant to define the scope of a site before we have a real community to say what they do and don't want.”

Comment Post #278764 On this site, I suspect that would be off topic, but I'd rather let the community discuss _why_ it's off topic and such on meta than declare anything by fiat during this early phase haha

Comment Post #278764 @Lundin we'll have to consider that. Currently Christianity.SE and Hermeneutics.SE somewhat subdivide topics related to the biblical texts. The former requires a specific question and it must specify a perspective it wants an answer from, and the latter requires questions to start from a specific tex...
