Comment Post #74805 Aye, notifications are on the list to look at at some point, as is login (though that's less critical, once you hit "remember me").

Comment Post #74805 Technically there is a top-level user profile, and it even has the SE account ID stored against it. What it doesn't do at the moment is auto-transfer content from new sites when they start up.

Comment Post #74805 This might be something we do at some point, and we'll certainly keep it in mind... but it's not going to be any time soon; we have something that _works_ here even if it's not optimal yet, so there are more important things to work on first before we come back to do a polish pass. codidact.com is ju...

Answer A: Please amend the terms of service to allow other licenses
Fixed now - I've clarified exactly which license applies to the content you post. Thanks!

Comment Post #74790 You can ping multiple people here, but you have to use the full username :) I can see an argument for opt-out, certainly. Not sure how it'd work yet, but we're a while off coming back to this feature so we've got time to think about how it fits in. For now, I've added a setting so that it can be disa...

Comment Post #74790 There's also the question of what happens if you want to start over and not have your SE content attached to you on some sites but not others... I can't immediately see why you'd want to do it, but it's plausible that some folks might. That's not to excuse the lousy experience there - this is still v...

Answer A: Spread the word - SE meta information page?
> a simple SO meta post explaining the work we have done ... What is the problem with that? The problem with it is that Stack Overflow won't allow it. From their perspective, what we're doing here is potential competition, and allowing the competition to advertise on your site is generally not the...

Answer A: Single account or one per community?
It's a single account. Once you've signed up on any site on codidact.com, you'll be able to sign into any other site on codidact.com with the same credentials. You don't need to sign up again, just log in with the same details and you'll be able to access the site.

Answer A: Importing new posts from SE
Not yet. It's in the plans, but at the moment that tool doesn't exist. We're focusing on building the features we want to have for our initial launch before we focus on the surrounding tools, like this one. For that initial launch, all we need is the ability to do one-off imports, which is what we...

Answer A: Recent feature changes to the Codidact software
December 2020 19th: Added community switcher (right side of the top bar). Added link to pending suggested edits to the category nav. Added more information to usercards, which are now configurable per community. Made search inline instead of having to go to a separate page. Ad...

Question Recent feature changes to the Codidact software
This site runs on the QPixel software, maintained by Codidact. What progress has been made recently? There will be one answer per year. This changelog does not include all bug fixes, but we aim to include new features or other significant changes. 2025 (current year) 2024 2023 2022 ...

Comment Post #39514 It's kinda both, but it's also kinda moot - you don't need to link your account to SE on this site, as there's no content to claim and it's not a way you can log in.

Comment Post #39454 It's ACKCHYUALLY "Codidact Meta", not "Meta Codidact". But yes, as long as I have a favicon to use, I can just put it in the right place and it'll work. Lemme see what I can do.
