@Zerotime User content is out of scope for a privacy policy because it's not personal or identifying data. The privacy policy only forms part of the legal stuff; if folks want to know how everything is used, including user content, they need to read the ToS as well. (more) |

A: Is there a privacy policy for Codidact? There is a link in the footer to the privacy policy. The TL;DR is that: We only use your data when necessary We use a self-hosted solution for analytics so your data doesn't leave our servers We will be open and transparent about how we're using your data (more) |

A: How do I notify users with a space in their username via comments? Simply omit the space, and ping `@UserName`. I'm not 100% sure whether having characters after it breaks the notification, but I tend to avoid it to be on the safe side. Comments are due for an overhaul in any case, so this may be changing to a better system soon. (more) |

A: A newbie friendly and non-judgmental site focusing on Q&A related to Cloud technologies I like this idea so far. I do have to shoot part of it down, sadly: > c. sandbox environments for all Cloud offerings with training modules for new members (to our site / to Cloud technologies) to use a playground and practice. This isn't possible. Right now we don't have anywhere near the deve... (more) |

It's possible to import single questions already, @JamesJenkins - it's just not very efficient. If there's a list of posts that want importing, though, we can do that. (more) |

A: More control over Help page This one is going to have to be [status-declined] as it is, but there's some other adjustments we can make that might solve the problems. Making the main help page editable is more difficult than it might at first appear, and would be more prone to breaking; the current setup that simply lists pos... (more) |

Not entirely surprising... those pages haven't been properly looked at since original QPixel, so that they don't work doesn't come as a great shock... I need to look at them properly and probably convert them all to one "recently deleted posts" page. (more) |

Yup, that is a bug, notifications are supposed to go away once you've clicked them, one by one instead of all at once. But... notifications are in need of an overhaul anyway, so when we get to that we'll fix the dismissal bugs too. (more) |

And fair warning: blocking cookies and/or JS will probably break things unless you make exceptions in your extension's settings. JS is required, and _at least_ the `_qpixel_session` cookie must be allowed for things to work properly; we may support no-JS better in future, but right now we don't have ... (more) |

A: Details on creating a Help page? In a URL of `https://yoursite.codidact.com/help/topic`, only the `topic` part is the slug. I've added some inline help to the form you use to create a help page, which will go live with the next build. (more) |

A: Markup documentation? Markdown does have a standard these days - CommonMark. We generally support anything that's in the CommonMark specification, plus some other useful bits. If you hover over the buttons in the toolbar, they should give you a tooltip with a simple hint at what it does. Here's the quickstart guide: ... (more) |

A: UX changes: dark theme, distinct borders and shortcuts Dark theme is something I'd like to do, but right now it has to take a back seat to developing the features that we want to have. Creating and maintaining a dark theme is a significant amount of work, and not something we have the development time for right now. Once we've got all of our basic featur... (more) |

Have to consider mobile usability here. Search boxes are wide and unwieldy; putting them in the top bar is potentially not possible on mobile, and then we're supporting two versions of the top bar for desktop vs. mobile. I'm not going to say _no_, but it needs more consideration than "just do it" :) (more) |

A: How to do superscript markup? As aCVn has already correctly said, those tags get stripped by the server when it's rendering post markdown. I'm currently working on changing the Markdown rendering systems over to gems that support the CommonMark standard better, and which can be configured so that the post preview matches the f...
