I'd be equally happy with enlarging 1 or diminishing 2. At the moment, I've used 1 and 3 in one of my other posts in order to avoid 2 altogether, which is subverting the semantic intention and makes me feel bad about accessibility. (more) |

Thanks for pointing this out. I've actually just edited my post before seeing your answer, as I realised after posting that there is a difference (it's easier to see in the example as both headings start with "Heading" so the fact that the words are not the same length stands out).

I was thinking that there could be a step before passing the post through the markdown renderer, where 2 newlines are added after every `</summary>` closing tag, but having thought about it for a while I guess that would mean also having to add a way to exclude tags that appear inside a code block, a... The last example in the question shows bold and italics are affected too, so maybe it is all markdown, rather than just block level. (more) |

The priority order settled on is never going to please everyone (we all have different things that are important to us) but as it's open source anyone is free to work on something that is not at the top of the priority list. I don't know the Ruby programming language so I haven't been able to work on... (more) |

I haven't seen an objection to making changes. Comments from Codidact staff on my posts have been positive and seem interested in finding out what is wanted. They are volunteering and don't have full time hours available. It seems like they are making changes as they find the time, rather than being ... (more) |

I have recently raised a large number of bugs and feature requests on Meta and I like the fact that the community can vote to show which ones are more important to them, to help prioritise work. As the work will be done by a small team of unpaid volunteers I didn't expect to see any changes in the sh... (more) |

> We live in a world where there are many types of users, there are almost as many use cases
I definitely agree with this. I'm in favour of customisation. I'd like to see the option to change the default sort order per user per site, so I can set it to my preferred sort by Score on sites that are ... (more) |

> Relatively trivial UI features are ignored in an effort to force conformity
The downvotes on this answer appear to be an objection to making the sort by Age the default. That's from other Meta users. The question itself has net positive votes, which suggests Meta users would like to see the opti... (more) |

> The order that answers (and comments) are displayed should be chronological
Although I disagree for answers, I do agree that comments should be displayed in the order they were posted (as they currently are). Comments are much more likely to form a dialogue with each referring to the previous, w... (more) |

I agree that the default sorting order should remain by score, not chronological order.
I posted this feature request because I'd like the option to be able to sort by age *on occasion* - not as a default. (more) |

For me, I'd use it most often on Code Golf Codidact, where answers are competing solutions to coding contests. I sometimes like to see the answers in the order they arrived to see how new strategies emerged and then went on to be reused or adapted in later answers.
Similarly on Meta where the answ... (more) |

It's possible to disable the previous searches list with `autocomplete="off"` on the input tag, but I know that's not ideal as previous searches is useful functionality and the post_type filter is a relatively rare use case.
The z-index is already dialled up to 9999 so that doesn't help.

It's great to see the pace at which things are improving - makes me feel it's worthwhile raising little bugs that I spot. (more) |

The last paragraph of this bug seems to relate to a bug I raised recently [Tag duplication in post edit mode](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/287037) (more) |

Not sure if there's sufficient overlap to call this a duplicate bug, but definitely seemed worth linking to the previous bug [Tags shown on a question can differ from tags shown when editing that question](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/276589) (more) |

There seems to be a more general problem so I have raised [Search does not search the title of posts](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/287032) as this does not seem to be a problem with only exact search, but with any search. (more) |

Thanks for raising an issue Monica. I did try manually changing the url to include `sort=activity` and it didn't change the order of the list like it does for `sort=age`, so I guess that means there is at least some backend change required. Great to know it's on the horizon though. (more) |

@#8049 That seems so logical now that you mention the other elements. I've been doing that for menus but it didn't occur to me that dialogue boxes would work the same way. Thanks for explaining! (more) |

Thanks @#56941 I've made a pull request to `master` as it hasn't been changed to `main` yet, and added a comment there to ask them if they want me to target a different branch instead. (more) |

Thanks for the quick response!
I've now created an issue and tried to create a pull request for my fork but the contributing guidelines say to target the develop branch, and there doesn't appear to be one for the landing-page repo. Is there another branch I should target? (more) |

**"filters can be defined, named, and reused"**
I like this idea of being able to save filters, so you only have to write each one once. I also like this idea of being able to modify existing filters so that you don't have to write each one from scratch. Both of these abilities could be even more ... (more) |

Thanks FoggyFinder - that issue helped me narrow down the problem. Even though it appears that only one post category is displayed, in fact both Q&A and Challenges posts are displayed in the same list (just mislabelled as being all Q&A in the Q&A list, or all Challenges in the Challenges list). So th... (more) |

Was about to comment that maybe the Outdoors community would benefit from a separate category for photo contests rather than everything have to be Q&A, and then checked and saw that this is already done. Great to see individual communities not having to constrain everything to the Q&A format. (more) |
