Comment Post #278234 @PeterTaylor you make a good point about tag management. Our idea was "editing posts" < "editing tags" (and both with "editing"), but this can be changed. We can require successful posts, suggested edits and flags as possible criteria for abilities. What would you suggest (currently it could be calle...

Comment Post #278234 @Lundin We'll need to discuss what rep should become (or how it should be replaced) separately. We'll start a discussion about this in a few days including some suggestions what user cards should look like.

Answer A: Voluntariness vs. Responsibility, which of them should be considered as a priority for the community team?
tl,dr: No. I'm sorry, but this just isn't possible. First of all, we all are people with a real life. We all have full-time responsibilities in real life. These responsibilities are unquestionable more important than running a virtual community. For example, I'll have a major change in my ...

Answer A: Mathematics isn't listed in the site footer or on codidact.com
This has been fixed. Math had already been added to our list and I have just run a deploy, which should add it to the footer and codidact.com

Article Coming soon: new abilities system and changes to reputation
One of our longstanding design goals is to grant privileges based on people's activity and not just based on a reputation number. We think it's better if you gain abilities based on your track record in related areas, and not because one of your answers hit the Reddit jackpot. We're finally almost ...

Comment Post #278230 @Wikis can you show a screenshot of the full close dialog? Can you click F12, then something like "Network" (maybe in a "..." menu?). Then make the close request and then there should be a "403" request in the list. Click there and copy the "server response".

Answer A: What are the close reasons on Codidact?
CoC violations and spam shouldn't be closed, but deleted IMO. But that aside, the current close system will be overhauled in the future, when the devs have come around to it. In the mean time, all close reasons are editable per-site and any community can change them if wanted (mods should be able ...

Comment Post #278230 No repro from me. I’ll reopen and can you look at the network requests (there should be a page in the F12 dev tools, ping me if you need more assistance) what’s returned here?

Comment Post #278215 @Mithrandir24601 right now no quorum is in the rules, except for the majority rules. There are replacement rules for revising partial members, but they aren’t “general cases” IMO.

Comment Post #278214 Are these concerns still existent when you read through the [proposed governing rules](https://meta.codidact.com/questions/277346) of the Panel? Your suggestion looks to me more like a way to cause drama in most situations rather than a promising solution.

Answer A: To be constructive, or not to be constructive, that is the question.
(from now deleted comments, with some changes, on request from the asker) In addition to what Monica said, it may be more clear to say, that the CoC isn't intended to be a full "penal code", which names all possible "crimes" and threatens penalties, but more something like a "social contract", acc...

Comment Post #277162 @FoggyFinder yeah. I know what the bug is and have fixed it already in the codebase (too greedy "Search & Replace"), but the deploy tool is currently offline, so I can't deploy the changes. I hope to be able to publish the fix later today.

Comment Post #278170 Normally we try to add the tags as soon as they are fixed, but there are two possible exceptional conditions: (1) many easy fixes rolled out at one end. what should be done here else? and (2) adding status tags to older, “forgotten” requests.

Answer A: Images are stretched, not scaled, on narrow browsers
Oh yeah right, that bug, since Art just put a status-completed tag on it, I could also take my time and reply with what the issue is, because it's quite interesting (and this is also a good mental note for next time a similiar issue appears). It turns out, that mobile iOS browsers don't like image...

Comment Post #276798 @jrh I'd personally say comments expressing their (dis-)agreement for a specific reason are okay (unlike pure "I agree" comments). Rate limits are currently being revised and I'll take your feedback re "initial votes" into account.

Comment Post #278036 @MonicaCellio yeah, sure. I was just thinking that the forum is already set up. And I'm not really a fan of having a "fun site" kept directly within the other "less fun" sites and would rather favor it being a bit different, but you are right that this needs to be decided after we know what is needed...

Comment Post #278036 I mean... we could likely remove/hide all posts from the old forum mentioned by Moshi and Monica and allow continued use (still moderated, but not continuously observed) if there were a group of users interested in maintaining it... I would apply similiar criteria to creating a new site, but otherwis...

Answer A: What should I know when coming here from Stack Exchange?
Welcome to Codidact! This is mostly a Q&A community, as you likely know from Stack Exchange already. However, I only said "mostly", because there are some differences you should know: Codidact is more community-centered Community is central to Codidact. In fact, we couldn't exist without com...
