Comment Post #282327 Medical research is its own recognized field. Going by your logic you could say everything is [a subfield of maths](https://xkcd.com/435/). It is already clearly stated that no medical advice will be given. The community is supposed to be focused on answering interesting questions related to the huma...

Comment Post #280797 @MonciaCellio I think they should be. Answers to questions like these can be supported with data so that people can make up their minds on their own.

Question Answering own questions triggers notifications
Just now, I was notified that a post was added to one of my questions and coincidentally, the person adding that post was me. Nevertheless, I was notified about that event which seems a bit redundant.

Answer A: A site for politics
Scope As scope, I would like to propose the following. It's drawn from the SE politics site (https://politics.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic) which seems to be a good starting point. Policy matters: cost, benefits, effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of policy introduction or abolitio...

Comment Post #280788 @manassehkatz I don't see how this post is different from the Statistics one or the Change My View one in its initial version. Maybe the TO or other people intended to elaborate on that proposal.

Answer A: How can we make Codidact more friendly for askers?
Elaborating on the thoughts of @PeterCooperJr.‭, it might be sensible to provide some meta statistics on each site on the main and / or "Ask Question" page. For example, it might be viable to display the usual average response time to a given question. Maybe be even more detailed with how long it ...

Question Let community ads have a customisable header text
There should be the option to customise the heading in the community-promoted network posts as "Could you answer this question?" isn't always applicable. Example: community network ad The post in question is an image competition so there is no real answer to it. It would be more appropriate to ...

Question Duplicate "Sign out" buttons on mobile
On the mobile version of Codidact, there are two "Sign out" buttons present, one in the right menu and one in the site switcher. One of them should be removed as having two isn't necessary. Right top menu: right top menu sign out Site switcher:

Question Can we have description of tags when we hover over / click them?
With the re-tagging of the site proposal, new tags were introduced. I didn't know the meaning of those, so I hovered over them to see a short description just as I was / am used to doing in the Stack Exchange network, just to notice that this doesn't exist here yet. Can we have short descriptions ...

Question Where is the site switcher on mobile?
I noticed the new side switcher and really like this feature. Oftentimes, I browse Codidact and read up on posts while I'm on the go and naturally I would like to switch sites as easily as with the desktop version of Codidact now. Where can I find the side switcher on mobile?

Question What will become of reputation?
For a while now, the reputation topic has (re-)surfaced repeatedly with the the Codidact team taking a slight stance to remove reputation in the long run. Everytime this was mentioned, there were at least some commenters who argued against this motion. @luap42 announced a discussion thread about i...

Comment Post #279560 My recent edit on the question [about the image upload button](https://meta.codidact.com/questions/279468) is gone. I provided errors on my side and incorporated them into the question, there was even an edit by someone else after my edit that's also gone.

I'd like to propose a site focused around politics. Topics could range from national matters, international relations, international organisations and their positions in relation to member countries, voting, political systems, political theory and everything in between. Why do I propose it? Bas...

Answer A: Why don't we just make communities for every launched stack?
Because Codidact doesn't want to be a clone of SE but rather be its own thing, and that for good reasons. Of course, every launched community over at Stack Exchange could be copied and transferred to here, even with all the questions and answers. The question, however, is: What is the purpose of t...

Answer A: Community for Medical Advice?
In general, I have no problem with sites existing like that, however, Codidact is not the right platform for it. First off, it might be sensible to read this answer to a similar question on SE: https://medicalsciences.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/747/how-long-can-this-site-be-popular-if-everyb...

Comment Post #276997 @MonicaCellio No, I'm not interested but I will be active and keep my eyes peeled for day-to-day business. However, if there's nobody who wants to do it but the Codidact team wants someone from the proposal to do it, I could do it so the community can be launched.

Comment Post #278806 Thanks for the update on this proposal. Indeed, more users wouldn't hurt anyone. The last paragraph, do you want some of the interested users here to nominate themselves for a moderator role? If yes, maybe it makes sense to notify them additionally via comments.

Question Show last user names if users change their user names
Recently, some users who are here for a longer time changed their usernames. It often happened that I saw a well-written question or answer from a user I supposedly have never seen before with a high activity. Of course, I know then that it must be someone who has just changed names but it sometimes ...

Answer A: A badge! A badge for completing the Codidactyl Tour. Or even several badges!! And points!!
I'm little bit unsure about badges. They are a tool you can use for gamification (so to speak: participate in that or that way to gain that or that badge) but also a tool to show what someone has achieved so far. The latter function is something I like. Right now, I miss an option to show that som...

Answer A: Medical science site
