Answer A: Draft of previous edit (including edit comment) loaded for new edit
I'm not sure if the underlying cause is related, but I've seen a similar problem for drafting a new post. I just pressed "Ask Question" to post a new Meta question, and the text of this question (that I'm now answering) was loaded as a saved draft, despite this question already having been posted.

Comment Post #293214 Yes it's just the wording from my first answer (which works when there's no redirect).

Comment Post #293214 I suppose this does make the "and try again" redundant, as signing in does that automatically. Should we just say > Search results for `user:me` can only be displayed when signed in. Please [sign in](https://codegolf.codidact.com/users/sign_in). rather than > Search results for `user:me` can...

Comment Post #293214 Although it's not immediately obvious from the [code changes](https://github.com/codidact/qpixel/pull/1506/files), the fix also includes the suggestions from [my other answer about my ideal solution](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/293213/293216#answer-293216) (which I wasn't expecting to be implemen...

Question Draft of previous edit (including edit comment) loaded for new edit
After making an edit to an answer (in this case an answer of my own on Collab) I pressed Edit to make a further edit and the Edit Comment field was populated with the comment of my immediately previous edit. I changed this to describe my current edit and saved. I then pressed Edit to make a third edi...

Comment Post #293219 I can imagine cases where someone might desire either of: - "me" continues to mean the sending user - "me" means the receiving user Should we give the user both options at the point that they copy the link? Maybe in a similar user interface for links to posts, which offer both raw and markdown l...

Comment Post #293214 For me personally, I'd rather be shown no results and an explanation of why, than some results that I might go straight into looking through without noticing the message that warns me about them being different from expected. I'd like to avoid that potential for wasting the user's time. Perhaps we...

Comment Post #293215 Thank you both for the extra examples. It sounds like it was already happening before the recent improvements to drafts then. Mentioning in case that's relevant to anyone who investigates this.

Answer A: 500 error page for user:me when not signed in
My ideal solution would be to inform the user that search results for `user:me` require a signed in user in order to know who `me` refers to, and then show a sign in page that will automatically redirect to the search results once the user has finished signing in. I understand this would be more d...

Question Draft not discarded after posting an answer
Old issue: Posting sometimes doesn't clear the saved post Moshi's comment points out that this old issue (closed in 2021) describes the same problem, so this may be a regression. Other comments suggest at least 3 people have seen this over the last year. During writing an answer, a draft is...

Answer A: 500 error page for user:me when not signed in
One option would be to display a message along the lines of: > Search results for `user:me` can only be displayed when signed in. Please sign in and try again.

Question 500 error page for user:me when not signed in
When searching, a user can be specified by including `user:X` in the search term, where `X` is the user id of the relevant user. You can also search for your own posts by specifying `user:me`. If you share a link to search results based on `user:me` then the recipient of the link will see results ...

Comment Post #293200 Regardless of the expectations of any particular community, the software is designed to support editing deleted posts. If either of you would like the software to be changed to prevent the editing of deleted posts that seems a different feature request, so I'd recommend raising it separately.

Comment Post #293200 Declaring something irreparable and moving on is one use for deletion. In some communities it may be the only reason, but some communities have other reasons. For example, on Code Golf an answer that is found to be incorrect may be deleted by the author until it can be fixed.

Comment Post #293198 > no scrolling back to the beginning of the page (although that might also be possible with an anchored link when reloading) That's a good point - this benefit could be achieved separately using an anchored link so isn't a reason for implementing this feature request. For reference, I raised a sep...

Comment Post #293200 Posts can be deleted until improvements are applied, including being deleted by the post author. This seems to be an anticipated usage, from the fact that a user with the Curate ability can see deleted posts. Suggested edits can be part of the recovery process of a deleted post.

Comment Post #292585 I can understand having the change in Wilson score per question, in the expanded list of changes for a particular day, but I don't know how that would be summarised in the daily totals. Answer A: Clickable links in edit comments

Question Clickable links in edit comments

Question No way to discard draft edit to user profile

Comment Post #292886 I don't consider it to be bad. I'm not raising a bug but a feature request.
