We're currently working on setting up a non-profit organization of some sort, that will be able to accept donations and fund any expenses (yes, such as the servers). I don't think we're going to have enough money coming in at any point in the near future to even *consider* paying real wages for staff... (more) |

A: What does "status-declined" tag mean when it's added to discussion type of questions? I wasn't the one who added the tag, and I didn't handle the flag. But the way I see it, the [status-declined] tag was added specifically because of this line: > The Codidact community team have accepted to be the staff and run the community. So, in my opinion, if Codidact is an aspiring platform, ... (more) |

Exactly. I'm a relatively busy person; I'm an athlete-in-training as well as a sports coach; I'm being drafted into the military next month; I have family and community obligations, plus, y'know, I like to have some time for myself. I contribute to Codidact because I enjoy it and want it to succeed, ... (more) |

@interested - On your original post on Judaism Meta, you received some responses (on a now-deleted question); that's what I was referring to. (more) |

A: Would like written chat. It's currently not feasible to develop a built-in chat system. While we do plan on having an integrated chat at some point in the future, it's not a possibility with the current time and resources available to the development team. We have a Discord server that is used for discussion in the interi... (more) |

A: Why are my comments deleted? First off - comments aren't the proper place for feature requests such as increasing the size of the comment box. For a feature request, please ask a new question. Secondly, your comments were deleted for being not constructive and for being irrelevant to the post at hand. Let's take a look at wha... (more) |

A: Why prefer Codidact to Stack Exchange? There are several differences in the philosophy of Codidact vs. Stack Exchange that may contribute to people preferring CD over SE. For-profit vs non-profit Stack Exchange is a for-profit company. With that in mind, they have to worry about making a profit and monetizing their products; there's... (more) |

It's worth noting that [user privileges are in the middle of a total rework](https://github.com/codidact/qpixel/pull/132), so things will be changing wrt that relatively soon. (more) |

A: Should we use the Article type for bug reports? Nah. Posting them as questions allows for a more detailed explanation than "fixed" if there's a reason to do so - such as an especially interesting bug, or someone taking the opportunity to explain how certain bits of the system work. Plus, the people who fix the bugs then get the opportunity t... (more) |

Currently, [status-planned] is basically equivalent to "it's in the [Trello board](https://trello.com/b/BK4uxLoP/codidact-todo)". A [status-in-progress] would be more equivalent to the yellow in-progress tag on the Trello board, just a lot more public. (more) |

@MonicaCellio - [this is the post](https://meta.codidact.com/questions/277886) under discussion; it still has [status-completed]. (There's another, similar, request that's tagged [status-planned] because the PR hasn't been merged yet.) (more) |

A: Posts should have a visible indication whether they've been edited, and when the last edit was made This is now implemented. Next to the CC license on each post, a pencil icon will appear with the username of whoever last edited the post (if it wasn't the OP) as well as when the edit was made. > Screenshot of an example, showing an edit made about an hour ago by Mithical (more) |
