Answer A: Don't add duplicate notifications if an unread notification for the same event type and parent post already exists
I think it's worth showing in some way that there are multiple of each type of notifications - for instance, that there are four new comments in a single thread. It more clearly indicates what's new and what you need to catch up on. Maybe it'd be best to collapse notifications in such a way that y...

Comment Post #282921 Out of curiosity, why do you want to remove some of you accounts across our communities? I also noticed you sent in a support request for an account deletion. What prompted this?

Comment Post #282680 @#8049 It hasn't yet been fixed (just tried it myself; still getting a 404). I believe the problem is the same - the abilities pages 404 for non-logged-in users is 404ing (probably because it makes a check to see if you've earned it / what your progress is). Navigating to either https://meta.codidact...

Comment Post #282479 You need to create a new account; the dev system has a separate account system from the main network. As mentioned in Monica's comment, you need to manually edit the sign up link you'll get to point to `a.dev.codidact.org` instead `meta.codidact.com`.

Answer A: Sandbox to test formatting and other features?
You can always take a poke around our dev testing site, which is currently located at https://a.dev.codidact.org/. While its main purpose is to serve as a place to test new features and break things, I don't see why it couldn't be used to test out other things. Having more content there of different ...

Answer A: How can I do a search across all of Codidact?
Unfortunately, we currently don't have a network-wide search engine. I think this is the first time it's been brought up. If there's interest in such a feature, someone can write a feature request and it'll go through our process for handling those. In the meantime, though, your best bet is pro...

Comment Post #281893 @Istiak - depends on what that community decides. In general, if it's directly relevant to the post I don't think it should be too much of a problem, especially after we finish reworking comments to work differently.

Answer A: Chat feature for Moderators
We eventually do plan on having integrated chat, including different access levels for different user groups (such as moderators). However, we do not have the resources (such as available developer time) currently to build one, so we're using Discord. Whether or not a question should be closed is ...

Comment Post #281824 Developer confirmed it's the same root cause, so I'm going to leave this closed as a duplicate. Thanks for the report, though!

Comment Post #281824 I think it's the same root problem, but I'll check with a developer.

Answer A: Reputation is disappeared from user's card recently
This was intentional; we're testing out deemphasizing reputation here on Meta. This was a decision by the Codidact Team. Of course, if it turns out that it's detrimental somehow to not show the reputation number, or if the community decides that they really want it back, it'll be reinstated. But w...

Answer A: Is it OK to edit a post in order to bump it?
No, making useless edits just to bump the post isn't something that we want to encourage on Codidact communities. Edits should be to improve the post and that's it. Looking at the reasoning for bumping, though, there are two main factors: To earn votes, and to get a response. While we do curren...

Answer A: Let's revamp our status tags
Something that occurred to me after posting the original suggestion would be that an [under-review] tag would be helpful as well. This tag would indicate that the suggestion / bug / whatever is under review by the appropriate people - be that the dev team, the community team, local mods - but hasn't ...

Question Include a step about licenses in the tour
During our tour to teach users how to use the site, there's a point where we guide you through asking a question, including adding a title and tags: screenshot of the tour, showing the title and tags section However, something you have when posting an actual post that you don't currently have i...

Question Let's revamp our status tags
One of our holdovers from Somewhere Else is the way we mark bugs and feature requests with status tags - including [status-completed], [status-declined], [status-bydesign], and we've got our own [status-planned]. The tags are marked in red like other moderator-only tags. But... maybe we can do thi...

Answer A: want to work with Codidact as a programmer/idea giver
All of our code is open-source and hosted on GitHub. You can find the main repository for the Q&A software that the site runs in the QPixel repo. Anybody is welcome - and encouraged! - to contribute to the code and make pull requests there. Help is always appreciated! On the actual non-profit comp...

Comment Post #281435 Hi! Could you please split this up into separate posts for each point? We have a [Site Proposals](https://meta.codidact.com/categories/10) category where you can propose sites (just look at the guidance before doing so, please). Also worth noting that we do not have the resources to dedicate to devel...
