Comment Post #286105 It looks like you posted the same comment [three different times](https://powerusers.codidact.com/uploads/VFjem3HucwYHY1H6dAZCQqYC). I'm not quite sure why you're getting an error, but the comments did go through.

Comment Post #286052 I'm afraid that asking about Stack Exchange is off-topic here on Codidact; we're a separate entity. If you have specific concerns or requests that are pertinent to Codidact, you're welcome to post those here (e.g. a feature-request for guest posting).

Answer A: Codidact's policy regarding posts, user names and profiles with political content
Caveat: This is from my personal perspective and should not be taken as the official Codidact stance on this. Your profile is your personal space: You get to decorate it how you like, more or less. If you want to put up posters of your favorite band, or your preferred political candidate... th...

Comment Post #285338 We've moved away from importing content from SE, especially mass-imports. It's unlikely to be much of an issue in the future.

Answer A: Warn people rather than sending notification for inappropriate link/texts in profile
We attempted to reach out via Discord DM to notify you of the issue - doing it publicly, such as via comments, wasn't the way we wanted to go about addressing this. Unfortunately, there was no response to the Discord DMs that were sent, and we really didn't want to leave a link to a porn site live...

Comment Post #285134 @#53922 - Codidact still doesn't meet the notability requirements for a Wikipedia page. We'd need at least two non-affiliated references, such as a news article, to qualify.

Comment Post #285076 I quite like the "incubator" suggestion, and we've been discussing it slightly in the community team channels. Would you be willing to write up a fully fleshed-out [feature-request] / [discussion] post here on Meta so that we can get others' input and figure out how we want to go about it, if we do c...

Answer A: "You need to select a reaction type." But I see no reaction?
Languages & Linguistics Codidact does not currently have any reactions enabled. This means that when you go to react to a post, there are no available reactions, and so you can't actually react. I'm aware that it's confusing to show the "react" feature when you can't actually use it; we should pro...

Answer A: Actively investing in non niche network websites
We don't just spin up communities about topics that interest us personally - all new communities go through the Site Proposal process here on Meta. The process includes making sure that there is a minimum number of people committed to using the proposed new community. If you believe that these topics...

Comment Post #284331 Which post was the one that contained images where alt text wasn't necessary, out of curiosity? The צור קשר one? It's also worth noting that that error message does allow you to post it even without alt text, you just have to press the submit button again. It's a suggestion, not a total blocker.

Question Accessibility: What can we do better?
As part of our mission to be a place where communities are fully supported, one of our goals is to make sure our site is accessible for everyone. With that in mind... what can we do better, accessibility-wise? What should we keep in mind going forwards? Are there any features that would improve...

Answer A: Can codidact be used separately from the codidact network with custom local user management?
Yes, you can. Codidact’s platform is open-source for a reason. Anyone can clone the repositories and use the software however they want, provided that you follow the terms of the license that the source code is published under. If you have any questions or run into a problem getting your instan...

Answer A: Why should site proposals require groups?
Moderation isn't the only issue, although that's one aspect of it. We don't want to set out to create ghost towns. The point of making sure that there are people who are interested in a proposal before turning it into a full-fledged community is to ensure that there are people who contribute to it...

Answer A: Proposal for reorganizing the Help Center
Mithical here - the other documentation lead along with Sigma. A couple notes on this suggestion: Separating network vs. community help: I like that idea. As Sigma mentioned, there are a couple difficulties when we have help pages such as asking / answering guidance that both have similarities ...

Answer A: Has anyone seen my unicorn?
The service we use to generate user avatars - Unicornify - is temporarily down. I've reached out to the person who runs the site, but he as of yet hasn't gotten back to me. Hopefully this'll be fixed soon. If not, we might have to consider either switching services or running Unicornify ourselves ...

Answer A: Don't add duplicate notifications if an unread notification for the same event type and parent post already exists
I think it's worth showing in some way that there are multiple of each type of notifications - for instance, that there are four new comments in a single thread. It more clearly indicates what's new and what you need to catch up on. Maybe it'd be best to collapse notifications in such a way that y...

Comment Post #282680 @#8049 It hasn't yet been fixed (just tried it myself; still getting a 404). I believe the problem is the same - the abilities pages 404 for non-logged-in users is 404ing (probably because it makes a check to see if you've earned it / what your progress is). Navigating to either https://meta.codidact...

Comment Post #282479 You need to create a new account; the dev system has a separate account system from the main network. As mentioned in Monica's comment, you need to manually edit the sign up link you'll get to point to `a.dev.codidact.org` instead `meta.codidact.com`.

Answer A: Sandbox to test formatting and other features?
You can always take a poke around our dev testing site, which is currently located at https://a.dev.codidact.org/. While its main purpose is to serve as a place to test new features and break things, I don't see why it couldn't be used to test out other things. Having more content there of different ...
