Answer A: A proposal for keyboard shortcuts
After using this for a while, I have a couple improvements / suggestions. g > c > enter should take you to the categories page. g > s should take you to search. When opening a dialogue with multiple options, such as flags or closing, you should be able to select an option using the number ke...

Answer A: FR: Meta categories
Meta is its own meta. The entire site is already for meta-discussion of the Codidact network. Since this site is itself part of the network, discussion of Codidact Meta on Codidact Meta itself is fine. While it would be very meta to have a Meta Meta category, I don't think it's necessary to differ...

Comment Post #277490 For instance, I've been using the default license (CC BY-SA 4.0), but since doing some more research on the different licenses I'll start using the NC SA license for things like writing challenges

Comment Post #277348 @MonicaCellio - say, someone discovers that a moderator is actually underage (12 or so); they're not really legally allowed to have an account in that situation.

Comment Post #277336 @MathPhysics - I don't know what license the help center articles on SE are under, but I'm assuming it's not the same as user-generated content, so there could be a legal problem doing that. Also, since we're _different_ from SE, their help center articles won't necessarily work for us. To get what's...

Answer A: The Codidact Help should be more comprehensive and practical
Yep; the Help Center definitely needs some more fleshing out. To that end, I'd like to point you towards this question that I posted a couple months ago: What help pages need to be written? If there are specific topics that you'd like to see covered by a help article, please leave an answer the...

Comment Post #277251 I don't think a rich text editor is going to happen any time soon, but you can post a feature request and it can go onto the list. I'm guessing it's a lot of work to build, though, and not especially high priority, so with the current number of active devs it's unlikely to be implemented any time soo...

Answer A: Why isn't the text editor in the same font as what posts are?
It makes it much easier to tell that you're writing or editing a post, for one, instead of looking at a completed post. In addition, it's rather standard practice to have your font be monospace when composing a post if you're not using rich text. Since we're using Markdown, it makes sense to go wi...

Comment Post #277114 @user53100 - something being off-topic doesn't mean people won't ask it. The users of the site would have to constantly be closing such questions again and again.

Answer A: Avatars fail to due to unicornify.pictures outdated Go version
Fixed. I reached out to balpha, the creator, on Twitter, and he fixed it so that it works again. > @superplane39 (Mithical (BLM)): .@balpha @unicornify is dead :( > > @iCatija (Catija): NOOOOOOOOOOOO! 🦄 🦄 🦄 > > @balpha (Benjamin Dumke-von der Ehe): Fixed, thanks! >...

Answer A: Medical science site
I am concerned about the ability of such a site to maintain its quality and accuracy. This is the Internet. Even if we require sources for all information contained in posts, there are sources for every piece of misinformation out there. It's hard to tell at a glance at times what is a legitimate ...

Answer A: What happened to codidact / core project in ASP.NET?
There was no progress on the C# project for months - it had gone entirely quiet, due to a lack of people available who were familiar enough with the language to contribute. While C# was chosen as the ideal language stack when the Codidact project started, it became apparent that it wasn't realistic c...

Comment Post #276750 It's a bit redundant to display it *all the time*, though. That's why I suggested having the raw votes be easily *accessible* (with one or two clicks) but not to be displayed by default.

Question Should we start displaying the score of a post instead of the raw votes?
Currently, when viewing a post, Codidact will show you the raw votes on a post, with the breakdown into upvotes and downvotes: Screenshot of the voting buttons, showing +12 and -1. There's been some feedback that this is a bit too much to show, especially coming from platforms like Stack Exchan...

Comment Post #276697 @ArtOfCode - ah yes. I moved "delete" out into its own tool. (I had originally had both close and delete separate from vote, but then moved close in so as not to interfere with comment. I then put delete in for consistency, but overlooked the duplicate "d".)

Question A proposal for keyboard shortcuts
(This may not be the simplest feature request. It's also not extremely high priority. It's a nice-to-have, not imperative, and may not be possible at the moment - which is fine.) Everyone loves keyboard shortcuts. Programmers are known to love using their keyboards to whiz around without touch...

Question Alt text is broken
If I disable images on Codidact, I get, naturally, a broken image instead. However, instead of the alt text that is supposed to show up instead, I get... nothing. I just added alt text to this answer by @ArtOfCode, and then out of curiosity disabled images. Answer with broken image and no al...

Question What help pages need to be written?
I've been working on the user help center recently - writing new help pages and improving old ones. You can see the latest changes and suggestions - even the ones that haven't been deployed to the site yet - over on GitHub. Of course, though, I'm not going to be able to come up with everything - t...

Comment Post #276417 I was planning on writing a sort of tour for Codidact, although a bit more in-depth than SE's, just to explain sort of how the site works and point new users towards other help pages and possibly chat, but naturally that depends on the rest of the help center being fleshed out.

Comment Post #276415 (I'm a Co-Lead for User Help for Codidact.) I've spent the past few days writing up help center articles; currently, things are being coordinated in chat and on the [docs GitHub repo](https://github.com/codidact/docs/tree/master/User-Help). A tour is definitely on the list of things to do in the near...

Question Meta answers show up as Q&A in search results
In search results, if the result is a meta answer, it incorrectly shows as being in the Q&A category instead of the meta category. Questions appear to show properly. Here's an example from Writing.CD: Screenshot of search results, showing a question labeled "Meta" and answers marked "Q&A". The ans...

Answer A: Puzzling Codidact site
I have a feeling it's going to be a bit difficult to get the community over here. I'm an active participant on Puzzling.SE, and I haven't seen any widespread discontent with the company or any other indication that they're looking for somewhere else to go. While some level of customization would b...
