To post the previous comment, which contains triple backticks inside a code block, you can use quadruple backticks to wrap it as shown below (which uses quintuple backticks to allow showing the quadruple backticks):

Just to highlight this in case any downvoters see this as a reason to retract a downvote. I can't know the reason for downvotes, but the animation seemed like the worst thing about the linked question so I thought I'd mention it here where objectors might see it. (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Let's not allow animated avatars. Switch off animation until a decision is made I've posted an answer listing possible options which can be discussed over time, but I recommend that in the meantime animation is suppressed completely. Switching animation off everywhere for everyone is much quicker and easier than implementing a ... (more) |

I agree we need to do something, but I would recommend a solution built into the site rather than a rule that takes up moderator time to enforce. Whether the decision is to ban animation altogether, or to allow users to opt in or out of seeing them, the site should enforce this so users do not have t... (more) |

A: Let's not allow animated avatars. I was in the middle of drafting a very similar Meta question when I noticed this one had just been posted. I will instead post my thoughts here as an answer, to prompt further discussion. I see the current situation (everyone sees animated avatars whether they like it or not) as a problem, but there ... Answer | — |
A: UI question: how should the "post" button behave in restricted categories? With many different Codidact communities and more being proposed, along with other organisations that have their own instances of the QPixel software, it seems unlikely that any single one of these suggestions will be consistently the best approach. Each occasion may have a different approach that wo... (more) |

I wonder if "Not here (use new site)" might be better, so that mobile users see "Not here (use new" which gives more of a hint that there's something new to look out for. (more) |

On mobile (at least on mine) it now says "Don't post here (use" which at least should make someone more likely to stop and read the category description. (more) |

Question | — |
Clearer community proposals transition for skim readers During the transition from having a Site Proposals category on Meta to having a separate Codidact Proposals community, there is a message at the top of the Site Proposals category with a link to the introductory Meta post on Codidact Proposals: Site Proposals category showing a link in the descrip... Question | — |
Confusing row highlighting on abilities page On the Abilities page clicking on the name of an ability takes you to the specific ability page. However, clicking on the row of the table anywhere other than the name of the ability just highlights the row in grey, rather than taking you to the specific ability page: Abilities table showing a row... Question | — |
The tag description in the tags list does not link to the specific tag page On the Tags tab, clicking on a tag in the list follows a link to the specific tag page. However, this only works if you click on the tag itself. The tags in the list each have a snippet of their description showing, but clicking on the description snippet does not link to the specific tag page with t... (more) |

Sounds right. Where I have the Edit Posts ability I see "Edit" as expected, so it does seem to be a wiki thing. (more) |

Question | — |
Update tag descriptions to reflect new home of proposals Here on Meta the tags "community-proposal" and "new-communities" both have descriptions referring to the Site Proposals category. Can these be updated to refer to (and possibly link to) the new Codidact Proposals community? (more) |

Question | — |
Tag search breaks if a space is added In the Q&A category of Meta a tag search for "proposal" shows 4 results, but a tag search for "proposal " (with a trailing space, as is commonly automatically inserted when typing on mobile) shows 0 results. This seems to be a literal string search. For contrast, a search for "bug" shows 4 results... (more) |

Question | — |
Proposal descriptions show "Suggest edit" instead of "Edit" In the Descriptions category of the Codidact Proposals community, anyone can edit any proposal description. This is in contrast to other categories where suggested edits require approval before being applied (until the editing user gains the Edit Posts ability). I would therefore expect an "Edit" ...
