Of course, it would be important to preserve that. It doesn't necessarily have to be different paths, though, it can be linked to with IDs. That would break backwards-compatibility, on the other hand. (more) |

Question | — |
Where can I ask about a matter of diminishing health as a result of crime on the Internet? More specifically, I'd like to ask if ransomware has ever resulted in a suicide; we know that ransomware has led to deaths in hospitals, and that internet blackmailing has caused suicide, but I'm not sure if ransomware has led to a victim committing suicide. Does any community fit a question like ... (more) |

I also don't like how this would enable people a way to anonymously attack another user. Imagine user A has a set of posts, and user B starts targeting them with false flags. User A may very well notice the attack before a moderator invalidates the flags, but never find out what's been going on. I'd ... (more) |

I find this nothing but a distraction. If you can trust users enough to let their flags have an immediate effect, you can likely also trust them enough to simply hand them a spam handling ability.

Question | — |
Redesign the tag page to provide more clarity about the tag's attributes Tag wiki pages are currently a bit unclear on a few things. If you possess good knowledge of how that page is built, it's pretty clear to you that if it doesn't list something, it means it doesn't exist. That goes for parents, children and synonyms of the tag. However, that's confusing to anyone with... (more) |

Thanks, I wasn't aware. I'll open a new feature request instead, for a redesign of that page, moving that list down together with parent and child tags, as well as mentioning that the tag has no parent, child or synonyms if that is the case. It's quite confusing that the information is simply gone at... (more) |

Question | — |
List all synonyms of a tag on the tag wiki page I'm currently not sure if there's even a publicly viewable list of tag synonyms, which is the minimum we should serve. Either way, to improve attainability, we should list all synonyms of a tag on the tag's wiki page. I think a good placement is just above the list of tagged posts which currently ... (more) |

If we could somehow support attributes for elements specified in markdown, such as images and tables, and find some syntax for this, we could quite easily add this as an attribute. Other attributes could be size, alignment, etc, to give the author more control of how the element sits in the text. (more) |

I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I'd prefer not having borders if there's no need for it. Unnecessary borders often aren't the prettiest. I'd like to see an example of a border applied to a variety of pictures in various posts first, though, before dismissing the idea.
The technical solution... (more) |

Question | — |
Optional frames, borders or shadow around images Sometimes, images found in posts blend with the background. That can certainly look better than an image that stands out from the surrounding page, but every now and then, standing out is just what is needed. This can often be the case with screenshots of Codidact itself, where it's confusing when lo... (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Details tag lacks sufficient styling and summary text I opened the web inspector and made a quick sketch of how I think these sections can be improved. The changes include removing the border, setting a background colour, lowering the weight of the summary font, changing thickness and colour of the dropdown arrow, and setting a border radius. The specif... (more) |

Well, I guess my post should be a feature request for more sophisticated styling, or at least, automatically inserting a summary tag if the post source doesn’t have one, then. Either we style it to get rid of all browser-applied text, or we ensure the text is in the same language as the post.

It’s not a feature when I’m reading English content, only a detraction. It makes no sense to splash a Norwegian word in there, when literally every other part of the website is English. It’s part of the text, not a context menu I open by right-clicking. (more) |

Question | — |
Details tag lacks sufficient styling and summary text Expandable and collapsible text sections, created using the `details` HTML tag, are insufficiently stylized. This causes the browser to apply its own rules, for instance showing the default text "detaljer" in my browsers, as I run them in Norwegian. Screenshot of the bottom part of this question: ... Opening somebody else's profile picture in a new tab results in a download Right clicking on somebody else's profile picture, then selecting "open in new tab", results in a new tab opening, but with a download beginning instead of displaying the image inside that tab.
