Answer A: Show User's Vote on List of Posts
Having had a look into this, the cost of doing this in terms of database and page load time is prohibitive. Perhaps it's doable with some caching here and there, but at that point we're investing way more than we're getting out of this. [status-declined] for now.

Comment Post #278132 Send me the image you're trying to upload? art@ should work.

Comment Post #278133 This isn't correct. Yes, we check extension, but we also analyse the image itself - check its content type, and process the image to check its file format matches what we're expecting. If an image is rejected, it *can* be because of the extension, but since that's clearly correct it's obviously faili...

Comment Post #278103 We do technically have the filename, it's just not used... I'm not sure whether this is easy or hard, because image storage is not something we have direct code control over.

Comment Post #278097 Anonymous new-user visits _can_ already have a dismissible message displayed, just needs someone to write it and send it to an admin to apply.

Comment Post #277948 Ctrl-A + Backspace... yes, this would be nice to have, but it's not something we have spare development time for at the moment - perhaps further down the line.

Answer A: Should [status-completed] be used before the changes are live?
[status-completed] gets added once the code has been written, reviewed, and merged - i.e. is ready to deploy. Once [status-completed] has been added to a post, you can assume it'll be deployed in the next build - you can tell whether that's happened or not yet by comparing the timestamp on the answer...

Answer A: Does Codidact want to silence its users as SE does?
Let's not be disingenuous, eh? The rule is, and has always been, that anyone is welcome to post here as long as they're in line with the Code of Conduct, which is short, simple, and to the point. Having your post downvoted, closed, commented upon, etc etc, is not a way of silencing you; it's th...

Comment Post #277841 @manassehkatz Why, though? A public JSON file is arguably easier to maintain and more transparent.

Comment Post #277348 It can, @Lundin - if the team removes someone and they disagree, reasons must be provided to the panel, which can look into it - if the reasons are bogus, like your example, they can point that out to the network. They can't order the reinstatement of that moderator, but giving them that authority is...

Comment Post #277348 @MonicaCellio Anything that contravenes the ToS would count - if a moderator engages in ToS-violating conduct, they're getting kicked off the network period, and the Panel won't be able to override that.

Answer A: All of my own SE sources questions and answers give me 500 errors
Looks like user IDs didn't get changed over properly - not quite sure why, but I'll have a poke at it. I've fixed it manually for now.

Comment Post #277302 @CharlieBrumbaugh In that case, I think I agree with msh210's answer - it seems that there are cases where both tags could apply. Let's see what others think. As an alternative, it might be possible to add a warning - check the tags before posting the question, and alert the author if both a parent a...
