This restores the status quo for small viewports, but I've just noticed while verifying this fix that the "advanced search" block still takes a lot of room on my phone. If you're using a named filter, either one of the built-in ones or one you created and saved yourself, the name shows up there. So this is an issue specifically for ad-hoc filters. (more) |

The filter is initially collapsed on the search page, like it is on the category page. It also now appears right above the posts, so the advanced guidance about what you can type into the search textbox is right next to that textbox and the filter widget is next to the posts (like on category lists)...
