This question made me realize that the category description was a little unclear, so I've clarified that "about the software" is *using* here and *setting up or extending* on Collab (with link). (more) |

Hello. I see you've asked this question on [Collab](https://collab.codidact.org/posts/292977), which is the best place for questions like this. (I'm sorry for the delay in getting you an answer.) I'm going to close this question here; can't mark it as a duplicate across communities, hence leaving ... (more) |

We opted for consistency with the category page, where the count ("3 answers" etc) reflects only the undeleted ones. In other words, for both category pages and the presence of the TOC, everyone sees the same thing -- but if you can see deleted posts, you'll see more if you follow those links. (more) |

Whoops, thanks. Fixed now. The history is that originally that text was baked into the repo, which wasn't good for other users of the platform, so we switched to the variable, but since we hadn't planned for that kind of structure, we accidentally deployed that on our own network. (more) |

I like this suggestion a lot! Let's get it into an answer where it'll be more visible. (Feel free to edit in "friendly amendment suggested in comments:" or some such and then summarize, or make a different answer -- whichever you prefer. Thanks!) (more) |

I wasn't thinking about *losing* abilities over time. That's not how the current system works either: once you earn an ability, you have it forever unless a moderator suspends or revokes it. We certainly don't want to create yo-yo situations where someone just earns an ability, goes on vacation, an... (more) |

A: We need to talk about Abilities I've been thinking about abilities again lately (and for a while), because they're too hard to earn but just tweaking the Wilson numbers won't fix it. The fundamental problem is that a single negative event sticks to you forever and requires many more positive events to compensate. I sometimes look... (more) |

A: How do I request Codidact to adjust for disabilities, under the Equality Act 2010? Are you asking about the software platform or operational policies? On accessibility in general: We want our platform to be accessible to as many people as is practical, and we do attempt to address the issues we anticipate (such as the work we've done with image alt text). We aren't experts i... (more) |

A: "Proposals" does not show up in the bottom navbar We've reworked the footer, including removing the long list of links to individual communities. The footer has an "Our Communities" link that now goes to the dashboard instead of `codidact.com` (which was a problem for other networks), and the full list of communities is also available in the drop-d... A: Misleading button wording "Return to post" Request #1 is now live; the button says "view post", implying nothing about how you got there. We have some discussion in progress about how to approach request #2. If the suggested-edit page were "in" its category, you'd see the edits link right there. So that's one possibility, but we need to ... (more) |

Well yes, I didn't think it would be *that exact color*. :-) I'm hoping someone more familiar with the code (and I think Co-Design is involved?) will weigh in. (more) |

Thanks for doing these. I like the last two (move the borders or use color). I also proposed a whitespace adjustment separately. Any of those would be an improvement over what we have now IMO. (more) |

A: It should be more clear what comment an attribution belongs to I agree that's pretty unclear in threads that are longer than fit in the view. Thanks for raising this. I don't know what's possible with the current design framework (I'm not very good at front-end frameworks), but if it's possible, what about adjusting the spacing to make the "binding" more cle... A: Our site incubator concept needs a re-think I agree we want to make it easier for those being recruited for a specific proposal to be able to focus on that proposal and not all the others. You can see all the posts for a proposal by starting from the tag page, but that loses the nicer presentation of the category view. You can add a filter t... (more) |

A: What are duplicate questions? There is no one, over-arching rule across the network. Communities are self-governing (within the limits of what we can host). I agree with this answer. Personally, I think duplicates should be evaluated question to question, not considering answers. If two completely different questions were ... (more) |
