A: Can the title of the question be a "clean" link to the question itself? Does the "copy link" link below the question meet your needs? screenshot Those of us who came from Somewhere Else are used to the title being a link, but we thought an explicit link would be more discoverable. This doesn't mean we couldn't also make the title a link; we just haven't yet. (more) |

Individual communities might have had discussions in SE chat before or while creating communities here, but I'm not aware of any significant discussion of the platform itself over there before we set up that Discord chat and Discourse forum that were our first steps before we had a meta. Discussions... (more) |

This isn't just about duplicates. It looks like URLs in flag text are never links; the flag text is just text. (more) |

Was it a suggested edit? That's a [known bug](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/280086). I just tried notifications of various sorts in my inbox and I couldn't trigger it with anything else. If it wasn't an edit, could you say what it was so we can investigate? Thanks. (more) |

Yes, we need to add a "suggest edit" link there. Sorry for the delay. (more) |

"Follow" has been on the wishlist for a while, and I like the idea of the option (on by default) when editing. (more) |

@OlinLathrop that's a good idea. We'd then want people to be able to opt out, so fixing a typo doesn't sign you up for notifications for years to come. We'll need to do some work on notifications and preferences before we can do that, or add "follow". Meanwhile, one person gets notified, which is ... (more) |

Question | — |
New post type: wiki We've had some discussions here on Meta about shared resource pages -- wiki-style articles that anybody could edit, canonical posts, and so on. My original idea for this was that individual posts could be marked as "freely editable", and this could be used with any of our existing post types (questi... (more) |

@ArtOfCode are you saying that it'll work right going forward, but the existing data errors will remain? If you check the links you'll see that those posts aren't being reported correctly; does that mean that edits that predate the fix will remain broken (but it won't happen again), or that there's ... The bug has been fixed and new answers show up as new activity and bump posts again. Posts that got new answers during the bug's lifetime (a couple days I think) haven't been updated/bumped. In other words, it shouldn't happen again but there are residual mismatches. For example, the Code Golf Cha... (more) |

Not the same. The root cause of that one appears to be a problem with how suggested edits are reported (or not, as it turns out, confusing the tracking). The present bug, which has now been fixed, was about new answers, specifically. (more) |

I found the [unreported edit](https://scientific-speculation.codidact.com/posts/213131/history) on Scientific Speculation. This seems to be the bug with suggested edits not being reported on the post. A *different* bug was marked as a dupe of this one; that other one was fixed but this wasn't. (more) |

Answer | — |
A: What will become of reputation? (Personal opinion, not official anything.) I'm one of the people who, from the beginning, wanted to change how we handle reputation, because while Someplace Else got some things right with it, their setup also produced some degenerate results that I don't want to replicate. The biggest problem,... (more) |

@Zerotime the answers from Mithical and James Jenkins on the [proposal](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/276933), and especially the voting on them, make me think there are unresolved issues. But it's also been a while now, so maybe voters have changed their positions (but not updated votes) or aren'... (more) |

I agree that putting the rep number back in the header until we have those other feedback mechanisms would be a good idea. That number changing is currently the only indicator people have that people are voting on their posts. And particularly if there are downvotes, you want to know so you can try... (more) |

Question | — |
New answers are not being reported as new activity or bumping posts It appears that new answers are no longer being reported as new activity on the question list and bumping questions. Here's an annotated screenshot: question list highlighting two wrong "last activity" dates https://meta.codidact.com/posts/280005 shows the last activity as by luap42, but Mithi... (more) |

A: Heads up: small design changes, a better user card and some long-expected features For some but not all users, the post counts are showing as 0 when that's clearly wrong. For example: screenshot That's from elsewhere on this page. The numbers also show as 0 for me in the user list (and I'm about to find out if they do here too). Update three hours later: Mithical's a... (more) |

@luap42 maybe put *both* the timestamp and the license over on the left, so the usercard area is *just* stuff about the user and the other area is *just* stuff about the post. (more) |
