I'd remove this sentence since status "by-design" means it won't be changed. (more) |

_If that is happening, then I agree that is a bug and the question should be changed to say that. ... What the question states is that new content (i.e. a comment) is associated with the account._

_I didn't quote anything, I paraphrased._
Yes, you're right. I didn't know that the word "paraphrase" exists in English so forgive me that my comment is strictly speaking isn't totally correct. But I hope it is still clear what I meant. (more) |

This is simply wrong. If you quote something give it with a full context.

@#53922 That's not what I wrote. Moreover I didn't mention meta at all. The very first sentence in the my comment above "cause you're joining automatically when you're following a link". By "a link" I meant a reference to some other community. Like, for example, in this Q [Please, don't kill Olin Elt... (more) |

@#8082 cause you're joining automatically when you're following a link. I'd never join EE as well as some other codidact communities. I see no reason to have an account in a community iff I'm not going to participate there in any form so I'd prefer to remove my account from there. (more) |

__Well, i guess my Q can then be closed as a duplicate of the second question/answer hkotsubo mentioned in their comment.__

I agree that's exactly what @#53078 is described. Take a look at the score formula:
with `z = 2`: z ^ 2 = 4, (z ^ 2) / 2 = 2
we get
`(upVotes + 2) / (allVotes + 4)`
We can easily calculate scores of each answer:
4|0 = 0.75 = (4 + 2)/(4 + 4) = 6 / 8 = 3 / 4
7|1 = 0.75 = (7 + 2)/(8... (more) |

Downvote. I understand the reasons behind it and somewhere even agree. But to me such a big change should be discussed with community first. It doesn't look good to me.
