I don't think the footer omission is an intended change; it's just that this mockup only uses the first handful of questions to demonstrate the changes and then stops. The footer isn't going away. (more) |

Some people use the same avatar everywhere -- Google, Twitter, Facebook, here, etc -- and we shouldn't impede that. It's already annoying that some sites use circles and some squares, making it harder to make something that works everywhere. Telling people "oh, you need to resize (etc) your image f... (more) |

@Moshi this is great feedback; could I persuade you to write some answers? People might want to discuss and vote on what you say about tag styling, tag filters, and post score, for example. Oh, and I totally missed the round avatar -- no idea if that's an intentional change, but worth asking about!... (more) |

Taking our design to the next level: feedback wanted Our team has been exploring some ideas to improve Codidact's design. We've wanted to improve the visual design for a while, and we also have a lot of other usability changes we'd like to make. We want visual design and function to complement each other, creating a more intuitive and pleasant experi... (more) |

Oh wait. The top-voted answer here already proposes "human-mediated", which is the point I was meandering around. In other words, yes I think RPGs that happen to be played online, with a human GM and human players, are solidly in scope already. (more) |

Welcome @corporat ! I'm happy to see the recent interest in this proposal. By VTT do you mean virtual RPGs or virtual games more broadly (like board games)? Personally, I think so much of RPGs is about the *play* (roleplaying, rules, story development, etc) that the exact venue is kind of secondar... (more) |

A: Deleting a question that has answers that were deleted by System, transfers the answer deletion to the question deleter This is fixed going forward, but existing deletion records haven't been updated. (more) |

I'd be inclined to put the wiki behind a "more" link that does an in-page load, so you can see the full wiki and the questions together but don't have to. (more) |

We want to add better filtering, including a way to define and save your own filters. We aren't there yet, but I wonder if we could at least make search support `answers:#`, so you could search for unanswered or just one answer or whatever you like. (more) |

We have plans to allow refining the search on a particular community to either just this category or all categories. It seems reasonable to also allow going in the other direction (all communities, not just this one). All of this still needs some UX design, but let's consider it when we do the othe... (more) |

A: Battery Science & Engineering Speaking for myself, not for the team. This sounds like a very specialized topic. If there's a strong community around that specialized interest, that can work fine -- several sites on SE are also pretty specialized. (I mean c'mon, 20 blockchain sites instead of one?) While existing communities... (more) |

I don't know what's most common; people use Twitter and mailing lists and Facebook and wherever else to attract people who aren't already here, too. Improving how *Codidact* treats *Codidact links* is a good idea; if the renderer automatically generated the Markdown you're looking for that would add... (more) |

A: Improving the "copy link" button "Copy Link" is on top-level posts for consistency with answers. On an answer the URL takes you straight to that answer, which isn't what would be in your URL bar. (I think the work on the threaded-comments branch will add comment links, too -- same idea.) Your proposal works smoothly if where yo... (more) |

@Istiak I think it's a case we just didn't consider. When logged out we could still show the description (what it is, what you need to do to earn it), without the user-specific progress. (more) |

Hmm, yeah, that's not the behavior I expected either. I guess it's because of the "so-and-so has/you have earned this ability" bit, but I hope we can just skip that if there's no specific user being queried or logged in. Thanks for the report. (more) |

A: Why do we have the "Participate Everywhere" ability when we haven't yet done anything? Bootstrapping. Our communities are still small, so after we rolled out the abilities system we decided to put all our communities in "new community" mode, which lets everyone start with Participate Everywhere. Moderators can suspend a specific ability for a user if it's being misused, either for a ... (more) |

That's a bug, yes. Answer state should derive from the state of the question (not true now, known issue), but in any case the attribution of the deletion shouldn't change. Thanks for the report. (more) |

A: How are the different site header colors picked? Can the community request a color change? There's a list of about a dozen colors that are available. The choices are largely arbitrary. We want the logo and color to not clash (those can be determined in either order), and since we don't yet have banner art to distinguish communities from each other visually, just logos, we want some varie... Why do you need it on Physics? Do you want to *create* content with CC 3.0 there? If so, please make a request on Physics meta and we can add it there. I'm still not sure why you want it, but you can explain it there. We don't need 3.0 here to support using 3.0 content from elsewhere; we just nee... (more) |

A: CC BY-SA 3.0 license doesn't show The imported post is CC BY-SA 3.0 because that's how the source (Stack Exchange) licensed it. That notice reports a license. The list of licenses you can choose when posting here is unrelated. That list is configurable (per-community), so if people want 3.0 to be an option we can add it. So far... (more) |

And if there's a larger issue about a particular question, one that requires more discussion, raising a question on the community's meta is a good next step. (That will also be more visible.) A: send mail for new community Apart from the email question, which as Art said can be controversial, we want to have a better way to notify people who expressed interest when a new community launches.
