https://meta.codidact.com/ca/category/3.png shows [Ability pages 404 when logged out unless they're for a specific user ("?for=" in the URL)](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/281910) (another hot post) for me now, so there's clearly some degree of randomness involved at least. (more) |

Just be careful so it can't be used to send arbitrary-content e-mails to arbitrary e-mail addresses. It's probably hard to end up being labelled as a spammer much more quickly than offering that feature to the world... (more) |

Question | — |
Deleting a question that has answers that were deleted by System, transfers the answer deletion to the question deleter This was definitely unexpected, and possibly a bug. A question was flagged over on Scientific Speculation that hadn't been acted on in any way on Codidcat and had no non-deleted answers (they were all deleted by System as part of the purge of imported but unclaimed and unimproved content); the answer... Question | — |
How are the different site header colors picked? Can the community request a color change? I'm wondering how the site header colors are picked for the different sites. For example, Photography & Video and Mathematics are both purple; Judaism and Music are both yellow or light brown; and Scientific Speculation is red. Is there a common theme here, or are the colors chosen largely arbitra... (more) |

@Istiak At least answers can be deleted (and undeleted) even if they have been voted on, if that's what you are referring to. (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Make the license changeable while editing Changing the license of a post after the fact is not currently supported. Limited support for license changes has been discussed, but doesn't currently seem to be slated for implementation. Currently, your best option is probably to delete and re-create the post with the correct license. Note that... (more) |

The Rigorous Science divide on Scientific Speculation is not so much subjective allowed vs disallowed, as the level of rigor wanted in answers. One could perhaps imagine a subjective question about, say, psychology, where answers are backed by scientific refs. Of course, a poorly written question is ... (more) |

Since we don't get anything for April 1st, maybe we can have [this](https://meta.codidact.com/posts/278377) fixed, say, some time April 2nd, because everybody loves Fridays? (The stretched image is mildly annoying, and hey, that post even includes a CSS then-fix; not sure if it can be used directly a... (more) |

@OlinLathrop I'm struggling to see what is the principal difference between my answer and yours, particularly considering each's opening sentence. (You used "always", I used "absolutely". Neither is the entirety of the answer.) The question being asked here is about bringing over *one's own content*,... (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Transferring my questions and answers from StackOverflow and other SE sites In one word: Absolutely! If it's your own content, it's yours to rework and/or relicense as you see fit (or keep under CC BY-SA 4.0 as SE mandated with a twist last I looked, which admittedly was a while ago). If it's someone else's content, you'll need to either rewrite it such that it is no l... (more) |

I don't suppose there's a way to send one's details that doesn't involve giving Google the complete mapping between e-mail, Codidact username and full name and address in a nice, machine-parsable form? (more) |

For someone who doesn't use Reddit, let alone some specific part of it, what is this "Change My View" Codidact community supposed to be all about? Who are the experts? Roughly what kind of questions would it have? What kind of people are likely to ask them? (more) |

Answer | — |
A: Should there be a community here for Linux users? Rather than adding a bunch of comments to the existing proposal, I'm going to add an alternative scope proposal The community should cover Unix-like operating systems, but only to the extent that the Unix-like portions are what the question is about. This uses "Unix-like operating systems" t... (more) |

I don't think this should be \[status-completed\]. Certainly the Scientific Speculation example is *not* fixed; the question still shows as "last activity 3 days ago by DonielF" in the questions list, but there is very clearly an answer that was "posted 2 days ago". (more) |

There are definitely parts of this answer that I am not at all sure about on a *network-wide* scale (which is not to say that they might not be reasonable choices for *individual communities* to make, and therefore would be beneficial to support somehow as *options*), but the idea of having the bragg... Question | — |
Edit made is in post history, but not applied to the post I just noticed that URLs in category feed should match URLs on category front page doesn't look quite like I remembered it. Suggesting four different communities in one single post makes it rather hard to know what's being discussed. Would you be willing to either (a) make it one proposal for a single community to cover all four subject areas (we could split later, as there was discussion regarding Software Development, o... @MonicaCellio Since we're analyzing, doesn't "has been" imply that one event occurred before the other? "This question is addressed at (link)" would probably be more neutral in that respect. (Come to think of it, can post types other than questions currently be closed as duplicates? Articles, for exa... (more) |

Maybe even "is addressed elsewhere" instead of "has been addressed before", in line with Monica's comment on the question and removing the temporal relation implied in "has been". (I can't seem to edit my answer for some reason; trying to do that results in an internal server error.) (more) |

Answer | — |
A: New Close reason needed In this particular case, I would be inclined to disagree: the question has been answered before. It's just that the answer is actually given in a comment and a tag, not an answer post. "Can we get Feature X?" where one of the people who do a lot of the work on the code responds with "This has been... (more) |
